“Welcome to the Metaverse. I’m very excited to announce my first NFT,” kata sang bintang dgn followers hampir 38 jt ini.

Stlh dipopulerkan Zuck bbrp bulan lalu, seluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia kini kejangkitan “METAVERSE HYPE”.

VR/AR, NFT, Web3, crypto assets, blockchain, Second Life, dan tentu metaverse tiba2 mjd BUZZWORD yg seru diperbincangkan di sosmed.

Dg hype ini, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft, Nvidia, Roblox, Decentraland, Fortnite, Unity Software, kini mjd “the HOTTEST brands in the world”.

Sprti “GOLD RUSH” kini startup, korporasi, investor, entrepreneur, bahkan negara (al. Korsel) berlomba2 mjd yg pertama mengadopsi metaverse.

Setali tiga uang, para tokoh, selebritas, influencer, kini terjangkit FOMO (fear of missing out) n FOLO (fear of looking old) dgn menyinggung2 soal metaverse.

Sprti tak mau ketinggalan dr Syahrini ? kemarin Pak Jokowi headline di media, mengaku sdh mendapat bocoran soal metaverse dr Mark Zuckerberg sjk 2016. 

Anyway, apa relevansinya tokoh n selebritas mengadopsi metaverse or setidaknya ngomongin metaverse?

Dlm adopsi teknologi baru dikenal konsep CROSSING THE CHASM (“lompat parit”). Sebuah teknologi baru utk mencapai MAINSTREAM MARKET terlebih dulu hrs “melompati parit”, yaitu hambatan2 adopsi konsumen.

Pertanyaannya: apakah metaverse akan mjd kenyataan or hanya hype sesaat?
