Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman buah yang luar biasa banyak. Mulai dari salak Pondoh, apel Malang, pisang Ambon, durian, rambutan, manggis, duku dan sebagainya. Celakanya, masih sedikit sekali buah-buah yang merupakan kekayaan asli Indonesia ini diolah secara modern menghasilkan brand yang berdaya saing tinggi.

Yang justru menyedihkan adalah, buah-buah impor membanjiri supermarket-supermarket di negeri ini. Sementara buah lokal hanya puas di jual di pasar-pasar tradisional dengan kualitas memprihatinkan. Yang menjadi keresahan kita semua adalah kalau suatu saat buah lokal punah digilas oleh merek-merek buah asing tersebut.

Ini merupakan ironi, karena seharusnya buah-buah lokal menjadi tuan rumah di negeri sendiri dengan mengandalkan kekuatan brand dan quality excellence. Kalau buah-buah lokal bisa di-branding sehingga memiliki nilai tambah tinggi maka ia tak akan kalah dari industri elektronik, otomotif, bahkan industri pesawat sekalipun.

Nah, Sunpride adalah sedikit brand buah lokal yang membanggakan karena cukup berhasil membawa misi menjadikan buah lokal sebagai tuan rumah di negeri sendiri. Jangan dikira gampang membawa buah segar ke supermarket. Dibutuhkan pembibitan, penanaman, pemanenan, pengolahan pasca panen, hingga pendistribusian super rumit agar buah tetap segar dan berkualitas prima saat sampai di supermarket. Sunpride mampu melakukannya dengan standar kualitas kelas dunia. Viva brand buah lokal!!!
